As I look out from my window this morning, I can see one of the wonders of God's creation as it has unfolded the past 24 hours. The beauty of a storm with all of natures elements, rain, ice, sleet, and now snow, all in one storm. AWESOME! God's creation is a sight to behold and leaves me with a feeling of awe of the One Who created this world. And it is all completely under His control. Consider Jesus when He said "peace, be still" and the storm ceased, Mark 4:39. As the icy rain started coming down and the trees and power lines began to sag under the weight of the ice, I started thinking of the storm of December of 2007. We were without power almost 8 days because of that ice storm. Remembering that, I was stepping out to observe the conditions throughout the day. As more ice started accummulating I went to pray and asked the Lord to spare us and to change it to sleet so it wouldn't stick to the trees and power lines. HE DID! We didn't lose power and still have it today as it continues to snow. Praise the Lord for His goodness to the children of men, Psalm 107. It is great to be in a warm home drinking coffee, and looking out and enjoying God's handiwork. Oh, the blessings of God. He is so good to us all, James 1:17.
