A BRAND NEW HOUSEHOLD

  • MARRIAGE AND FAMILY

  • Gen. 2:24 Therefore shall a man leave his father and his mother, and shall cleave unto his wife: and they shall be one flesh.

  • Psalm 127:3 Lo, children are a heritage of the Lord: and the fruit of the womb is His reward.

  • We were married April 18, 1982 in San Antonio, TX. Isn't she beautiful? I am proof that there is someone for everyone out there (Proverbs 18:22). We just celebrated our SILVER WEDDING ANNIVERSARY as we have now reached our 25th, and are now moving on to our 50th. Just let the Lord lead and build your marriage on Jesus Christ as your foundation. As you can see, the Lord has blessed us with 3 adorable sons. I am feeding Aaron in one when he was a baby. The other one is of us on our trip to Yellowstone in 1998. We are at Chamberlain, South Dakota and the Missouri River is in the background.

  • THANKSGIVING IN FLORIDA (God's vacation getaway)2006

  • Psalm 107:8 Oh that men would praise the Lord for His goodness, and for His wonderful works to the children of men.

  • We had a safe trip to Florida, (God's vacation getaway), for Thanksgiving this year. It was a 15 hour drive going and a 14 1/2 hour drive coming back. (My son Jonathon has a heavy foot, and had the pedal to the medal.) We stayed with my youngest Brother who is a graduate from University of Florida, yes, you guessed it, he is a die hard Gator fan. I am a die hard Seminole fan, but we got along just fine. Also, living in Okie Land, I am a die hard Sooners fan as well. Before Thanksgiving we took a trip to Tallahassee to give the coach of the Seminoles a pep talk, but we weren't able to see him. We spent over two hundred dollars on Seminole stuff, (just a little pocket change). I bought a really nice new coffee mug, so coffee is tasting extra good right now. I alternate between a FSU and OU mug. Both enhance the coffee flavor in their own unique way...just kidding. I also bought a new alarm clock to get me up in the morning to go to work. We also bought a hoody, some t-shirts, a couple of polo shirts, golf balls, and a couple of baseballs. The Sunday before Thanksgiving we went out into a cotton field and target practiced for a while. A couple of deer rifles, a glock, and Jonathons .357 Magnum were among the weapons of choice. We gathered at my nieces home in north Walton county on Thanksgiving day to celebrate and to give God thanks for all His bounty that He has given us. We have so much to be thankful for. We fellowshipped as a family, feasted together on turkey with all the trimmings, (my niece is a great cook), watched the Miami Dolphins kick butt, (the greatest football team of all time), and took a few pictures. It was a wonderful day. On Friday at 2:45am we got up to get on the road toward home. THE GOOD OL' USA, God has sure made a beautiful land. There are so many sights to see traveling America's highways. Thank the Lord for them. We arrived back home in OKLAHOMA, (God's county), around 5:15pm that evening. The Lord blessed us with a good safe trip without incident...praise His Holy Name!

  • AARON TURNS TWENTY ONE!

  • Prov. 3:5-7 Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct thy paths. Be not wise in thine own eyes: fear the Lord, and depart from evil.

  • Twenty one years ago on the 26th of November, I was in the hospital with my wife Rebecca, witnessing the birth of our youngest son. I remember that day as though it was yesterday. Aaron only gave a little wimper as he was placed in a little crib.I remember saying to him, "it's all right, every thing is fine". It actually calmed him down. He only weighted 5 lb. 8 1/2 oz. I want to tear up thinking about all this. Now he is a man trying to find his way in life. He accepted Jesus as his personal Lord and Savior on March 18, 1995...he is born again! He is seeking the Lord's leading for his life, so I know he will find his way through this life just fine. Jesus never leads anyone astray. He is the Way, the Truth, and the Life, John 14:6. We celebrated his birthday this past Sunday with a cookout, pie, cake, and lots of homemade cookies. MAY THE LORD BLESS AND KEEP HIM THROUGHOUT HIS LIFE IS MY PRAYER. I LOVE YOU AARON!!! I affectionately call him AP or APZ.

  • WINTER WHITE OUT OKLAHOMA STYLE

  • NOV. 29-DEC. 3, 2006

  • Gen. 8:22 While the earth remaineth, seedtime and harvest, and cold and heat, and summer and winter, and day and night shall not cease.

  • Wednesday afternoon the weather man was making some dire predictions of a winter blizzard here in Oklahoma, up to 17 inches of snow in some parts of the state. I am beginning to think that my employer will give me administrative leave for Thursday. I get up as usual at about 3:30am on Thursday to find that I need to report to work. So I leave earlier than usual to make it in on time. Roads are slick, and I slide some, but I make it all the way in without incident, only to find out that work was canceled for the day about the time I arrive in. I say see ya, and head for home, but couldn't make it up the drive way once at home. I have to park in the other drive way. The boys all have to work and make it to and from without any trouble, praise the Lord. Friday Jonathon is stuck and can't get out of the drive way to go to work and has to call in. I can't get around him, so I have to take the day off with annual leave. I broke out the snow shovels and began to dig us out, clearing a path for the vehicles in the North driveway. Aaron goes to work as usual. David living in town, is able to get around without any problems. We received about 7 inches all together. My Yankee birth, being a native of South Dakota, has paid off. I have enjoyed the time off, but I was really disappointed when I was informed that church services would be canceled for this Sabbath. No fellowship this week. WHAT A BUMBER! Maybe the next Oklahoma white out will be earlier in the week. Thank the Lord we are all safe and sound.
